Happy 4th of July!
This is one of my favorite holidays! This year I will be celebrating Independence Day with extended family. 😄
Fourth of July, or Independence Day, commemorates the Declaration of Independence and the birth of America in 1776.
Fireworks are a part of the American tradition of celebrating 4th of July and Southern California has a variety of incredible firework shows. From over-the-water firework shows in Newport Beach and Big Bear Lake, to extravaganzas at the Pomona Fairplex and Hollywood Bowl, there is a firework show to suit everyone’s taste.
Here are some resources to find a Firework Show near you:

4 FUN IDEAS FOR FOURTH OF JULY
1. Wear Red, White, and Blue! Your easiest outfit is denim (blue), a white t-shirt, and red hat or belt!
2. Play 4th of July Trivia while you are waiting for the firework show or food to cook. Test yourself on your knowledges: https://parade.com/1206032/marynliles/4th-of-july-trivia/
3. Host a BBQ and serve a variety of hot dogs and hamburgers! All beef, chicken, turkey, vegetarian and vote on the most popular! The Founding Fathers made voting a part of the American political system so bring voting into your BBQ!
4. Eat your dessert in red, white, and blue too! Serve blueberries & strawberries on vanilla ice cream and crush up blue and red rock candy for your “firework” topping!
Whether you are sitting in lawn chairs in your front yard and watching fireworks, going to a firework show, or lying poolside all day, I hope you have a safe and fun 4th of July!
